    Tacubaya Berkeley Menu Review (Spoiler: it’s the best Mexican food in Berkeley CA)

    Berkeley’s Fourth Street is bubbling over with trendy furniture shops, coffee roasters and a ton of cute restaurants for lunch. Just a quick trip outside of San Francisco, Berkeley’s 4th Street hipster paradise is also home to the popular Mexican food restaurant, Tacubaya Berkley. Menu items that keep customers coming back for more include: crispy chicken tacos, tortillas paired with bright green guac, pork tamal, masa cakes, and chorizo. 

    Starter app: Chips + Guac

    Chips + guac are one of the best appetizers to judge a Mexican restaurant. The chips on Tacubaya Mexican’s menu are homemade tortillas that are fried and served warm with just the right amount of salt. They’re delivered to the table in a shareable bowl with a side of bright green guacamole.

     

    Tacubaya MEXICAN menu: The Torta

    At Tacubaya Mexican restaurant, you’ll find more than than just tacos. The Torta al Pastor is a popular Mexican sandwich with pork, grilled onions, avocado, pinto beans, on grilled bolillo bread. You can pick up canned goods, like the pickled veg side, in the Tacubaya shop.

    Good Old Enchiladas 

    The enchiladas at Tacubaya are packed with slow-cooked, tender beef, melted cheese, and a traditional, slightly spicy red sauce. They are rolled in fresh tortillas. Topping them off? A guajillo-tomatillo sauce + a dab of crema.
