- ½ cup butter, salted
- 10 small sage leaves, fresh
- 2 tbsp Parmesan cheese, shaved
- ⅛ tsp ground pepper
- 1 lb butternut squash pasta (I used the Fall Zucchette Pasta from Trader Joe’s)

- Melt butter with sage in a medium skillet on the stove, on medium heat. Stir regularly 2-3 minutes until sauce is fragrant.
- To serve with pasta, turn off the heat of the burner, and add al dente cooked pasta. Add a little pasta sauce water if desired.
- Serve pasta with brown butter sage sauce, a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese, and fresh-cracked pepper.
