Remove the bone-in chicken breasts from the packaging and pat both sides dry with a paper towel.
Season the chicken breasts by coating each with olive oil as your binder. Next, evenly season the BBQ dry rub on both sides of the split chicken. Massage spices into the chicken. Set aside for 10 minutes so the rub flavors set into the chicken.
Preheat the air fryer to 380 degrees F and place the split chicken breasts into the air fryer basket, skin side down. Air fry for 10 minutes.
