½tspgarlic powderOptional - sub 1 fresh minced garlic clove
1tbspbuttersub 1 tbsp avocado oil
Instructions
Prep all ingredients before cooking peppers and onions on the griddle. You’ll want to start by slicing the peppers and onions into strips.
Preheat Blackstone griddle to a medium heat setting.
Add butter or cooking oil to coat the griddle.
Add sliced peppers and onions and griddle for 10 - 15 minutes, seasoning them with salt, pepper and garlic seasoning a few minutes into cooking. Stirring often helps prevent the peppers and onions from burning.
Griddle peppers and onions until softened and sauteed.
Once softened and golden brown, season the peppers and onions with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Add a little water if needed (carefully with a squirt bottle) if food sticks too much to the griddle.
Remove griddled onions and peppers. When the peppers and onions are sauteed thoroughly and to your liking, set aside to cool.
Finish griddled peppers and onions by eating them standalone or adding them to tacos or fajitas as a topping. Enjoy!
