Preheat the Traeger Flatrock, Blackstone, or whatever griddle grill burner you have, to low heat (~300 degrees F).
Grease the griddle, if you want. I don’t always add butter, sometimes I just put the burger buns right on the griddle, because I usually cook the buns in an area of the griddle that was cooking something else and already had some avocado oil or butter (and a ton of flavor, like griddled onions and peppers). But you can add butter, and to do this, add a small pat and spread it around on the griddle.
Use a dome, if you want. To do this, add dome over burger buns while they cook on the griddle. It will help steam the buns.
Toast buns on the griddle until done to your liking. I prefer to only griddle the inside of hamburger buns, not the outside, but you can flip ‘em and griddle the outside a bit, too. They should be done within just a few minutes.
