Instructions
Set out a 10-12” round plate, serving platter, cheese board, or cutting board. Add blue cheese dip (or ranch dressing) to a dipping bowl and place it in the center of the vegetable platter. Sprinkle dip with fresh chopped cilantro.
Add kale around the plate in the shape of a wreath. You may want to tear away some of the kale to help make the shape and reduce the volume in the center of the tray. (I removed most of the inner kale leaves in the video demonstration.)
Add vegetable sticks to the platter, forming the shape of a wreath around the dip bowl. (I started with the green vegetables - two sections for celery and one section for cucumbers - spacing them around the board in the shape of a triangle. Then I added in the remaining colorful vegetables - the red pepper, yellow pepper, and carrots.)
Add final touches. First, add pieces of rosemary sprigs in between different vegetables, at the base of the dip bowl. Then add some fresh cranberries and holiday candies around the wreath. Add a spoon to the dip bowl if desired and chill until serving.
Perfectionists: at this time, you can go around the wreath and tap in the vegetables on the outside to make a perfect circle shape. Also, make sure kale is poking out of the wreath, around the outside, so it has that ultimate Christmas holiday party appetizer feel. Enjoy!
