If you’re planning a trip to the Oyster Pond area of St. Maarten, you’ll find no shortage of incredible dining options right by the water. Whether you’re staying at JW Marriott St. Maarten, Coral Beach Club, or Oyster Bay Beach Resort, you’ll be surrounded by delicious food—from oceanfront fine dining and fresh-caught seafood to casual pizzerias and cafés.

Special thanks to St Maarten Tourism and some local businesses featured in this post for supplying some activities and restaurants to review. All opinions are my own.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE DINING IN THE OYSTER POND AREA OF ST MAARTEN

Variety for Every Mood: From casual pizza patios at Mama’s Pizza to upscale French dining at OASIS and L’Escale, Oyster Pond has something for every craving and occasion.

Fresh, Local Flavors: Enjoy seafood caught the same morning, tropical salads, and dishes inspired by St. Maarten’s vibrant culinary scene.

Resort Convenience with Scenic Views: Dine onsite at JW Marriott, Coral Beach Club, or Oyster Bay Beach Resort while soaking in ocean vistas and laid-back Caribbean vibes.

    Mama Pizza, Pasta & More

Super casual, patio-style dining. A go-to for pizza (I love their pepperoni) and comfort dishes like chicken parmesan.

Their calamari and Caesar salad are solid picks too.

And while the view of Oyster Pond is beautiful from the restaurant, lots of people get delivery / pick-up here, too.

    Oasis Restaurant

A laid-back spot with surprisingly diverse offerings: seafood platters, beef stews, burgers, and even pizza.

They also do a Sunday brunch worth checking out.

See my full guide to dining at OASIS Restaurant in St. Maarten.

    BZH Creperie

One of the few French restaurants open on Mondays. Dinner only, with entrées around $30. A good option if you want something cozy and French-inspired.

Infinity Restaurant at Oyster Bay Beach Resort

Dining at the Oyster Bay Beach Resort comes with some of the best views in Oyster Pond and fresh seasonally-inspired ingredients from fish to produce…

I especially love it at lunch…

When you can soak in the sunshine and the ocean breeze.

The mango and grilled chicken salad here actually inspired me to create my own version back home (that link will take you to my version of that recipe here on Sip Bite Go!).

See what it’s like to enjoy Sunday Brunch at Infinity Lounge…

Big Fish Seafood Grill & Hurricane Bar at Coral Beach Club

Many people say this is one of the top dining experiences in Oyster Pond. The space is chic yet relaxed, with chandeliers inside, an open kitchen, and an outdoor patio lit up with tiki torches.

The menu is seafood-forward (think coconut shrimp, calamari, mahi-mahi, ahi tuna, grouper, and salmon), but there are also steaks, chicken, pasta, sushi, and vegetarian dishes.

Liguria Restaurant at JW Marriott St Maarten

Indoor/outdoor dining with a relaxed, breezy vibe, Liguria is perfect for a leisurely sit-down meal right on the resort property.

Enjoy fresh salads, flavorful spring rolls, tender chicken dishes, steaks, seafood, and decadent desserts while taking in views of the beautifully landscaped grounds.

After your meal, the resort’s pathways make it easy to take a scenic walk down to Dawn Beach, adding a touch of serenity to your dining experience.
