The holidays are the perfect time to bring warmth, elegance, and a touch of magic into your home—and that starts with a beautifully prepared space. Imagine stepping into your kitchen with an oven gleaming like new, baking trays sparkling, and every detail effortlessly polished.

Preparing for Christmas dinner doesn’t have to mean endless scrubbing and stress. With a few luxurious touches and time-saving cleaning hacks, you’ll have your home ready to impress while keeping the process simple and chic.
Here’s the game plan…
1. The Oven
This is a big one—definitely make sure your oven is sparkling before the holidays!
I’ve been testing out this new steam cleaner that was sent my way (it can handle windows and other messes, too), and it’s been a total game-changer for my oven.
It’s super easy to set up, works quickly with the power of steam, and honestly, it’s kind of fun to use. Here’s a video of us cleaning with it…
Shop the Steamify cleaner.
If it’s been a while since you last cleaned your oven, try this homemade baking soda paste.
And see my guide on how to clean a flat black glass stove top.
2. Baking Trays
Mix baking soda, white vinegar, and hot water in the sink (equal parts) and soak those trays for 40 minutes.
After that, a quick scrub with a non-scratch pad and they look like new. Perfect for all the Christmas cookies and casseroles.

I confess to eating these cookies for breakfast: chocolate chunk oatmeal cookies
3. The Fridge
Trust me, you don’t want Aunt Carol pulling out a jar of expired pickles while looking for butter. Wipe it down with some warm soapy water, and maybe toss a box of baking soda in there to keep it fresh.
I love serving a beautiful holiday dish like this broccoli rice casserole in a lovely baking dish. Shop my go-to Le Creuset stoneware.
4. Microwave
Fill a bowl with water and a few lemon slices, then zap it for 5 minutes. The steam loosens the gunk, and the lemon makes it smell like you have your life together. Wipe it clean with a cloth—easy peasy.
Everyone loves this blueberry lemon loaf cake…
5. Table Linens
Take out your napkins, tablecloths, and placemats now! Give them a quick wash or steam press. Nobody’s looking at the food when you’ve got wrinkly tablecloths. (Okay, they probably are, but still.)
For your next get-together, try this broccoli cheddar soup…
