HOW TO SLOW COOK BBQ SHREDDED BEEF SANDWICHES

    Here’s the step-by-step recipe…

Step 1 – Prep the beef: Pat the beef dry with a paper towel. Coat the beef chuck all over with yellow mustard, then rub it with your favorite BBQ rub.
Step 2 – Sear the meat: Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium to medium-high heat. Brown the beef on all sides, including the edges, without cooking it through.
Step 3 – Add to Crock Pot: In a separate bowl or directly in the crock pot, mix together beef broth, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. Place the seared beef in the Crock Pot. Add 2–3 tablespoons of BBQ sauce on top of the beef.
Step 4 – Cook low and slow: Cover and cook on high for about 8 hours (or until the beef is fork-tender and shreds easily).
Step 5 – Shred and toss in juices: Remove the beef and shred it with two forks. Return the shredded beef to the Crock Pot and toss it in the cooking liquid. Add ¼ cup extra BBQ sauce if desired for extra flavor and juiciness.
Step 6 – Serve: Pile the shredded beef onto buns and top with pickles, pickled onions, or coleslaw if you like.

    De-licious!

TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST SLOW COOKER BBQ BEEF SANDWICHES

    • Sear the beef first: Browning the chuck roast in a little oil before slow cooking locks in flavor and gives your shredded beef a deeper, richer taste.
    • Keep it juicy: Toss the shredded beef back in the cooking liquid before serving and add a splash of extra BBQ sauce if you like. This ensures every sandwich is tender and packed with flavor.
    • Save the leftovers: Store any leftover beef in the cooking juices in the fridge or freezer — it keeps the meat moist and makes for easy sandwiches later.

WHAT TO SERVE WITH BEEF SANDWICHES

    • Salad: Spinach Salad with Everything Bagel Croutons
    • Side: BBQ Chicken Potato Skins
    • Dessert: Smoked Bacon Wrapped Oreos

Next, try this delicious Guinness pot roast.
