- Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and season the sirloin steak.

- Transfer and cook sirloin steak in the oven at 375 degrees F for about 5-7 minutes until done.
- Rest and enjoy.
Detailed recipe steps
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F and season top sirloin steak with salt and pepper.
- Heat a large cast iron skillet to medium high heat. Add olive oil. When olive oil begins to smoke, add seasoned top sirloin steak. Sear for 3 minutes.
- Flip steak and sear for 1 minute. Turn off the burner and quickly add the butter, garlic, and rosemary on top of the steak (it will melt in the oven and bring delicious flavor to the top sirloin).
- Transfer top sirloin steak to the oven to cook at 375 for about 5-7 minutes, or until a meat thermometer measures an internal temperature of 135 degrees F for rare steak or closer to 140 or 145 degrees F for medium, or to the temperature you desire. I like using a thermometer that has a probe that goes inside the steak and a cord connecting to a reader outside of the oven so I know exactly what temperature the steak is at all times. The steak in this demo was pulled out of the oven at 135 degrees F.
- Once the steak reaches the desired temperature, transfer to a cutting board to rest for 10 minutes. This is important for the juices to settle.
- Serve as is or with your favorite steak sauce.

Meat thermometer recommendations
Every home chef needs a reliable meat thermometer to cook food perfectly.
On Sip Bite Go, you’ll often see me using:
- Meater thermometer – a fancy wireless thermometer that connects to a phone app – gifted to me from a Traeger partnership.
- ThermoPro digital thermometer – which has a wire that connects the thermometer to a display box outside the oven/grill.
It’s like being psychic! The great thing about either of the thermometers above is that I don’t have to take the food out of the oven to know the temperature.
How to use ‘em… What I do is stick the digital thermometer in steak, pork, chicken, whatever… Then put the food in the oven, on the smoker, or grill.
While the meat cooks, it reads the temperature so I know exactly what temp meat is as it’s cooking. Without having to take it out and check. It’s really difficult to overcook food when you know exactly what temp it is inside!
