HOW TO MAKE PUFF PASTRY BRIE AND FIG BITES

    Here’s the step-by-step recipe…

Step 1 – Preheat oven to 400°F (or as directed on your puff pastry box).

Step 2 – Place puff pastry sheet on a piece of parchment paper. Sprinkle with 1 tsp flour. Roll it out as large as you can — the goal is to get at least 16 squares that are about 5” square.
Step 3 – Using a pizza cutter, cut the pastry into 3 lines horizontally and 3 lines vertically, forming 16 squares.
Step 4 – Slice the 7 oz brie into 16 thin pieces, about ½ inch thick. Each square of puff pastry should be roughly twice the size of each brie slice.

Step 5 – Assemble bites. Place one brie slice in the center of each puff pastry square. Add ½ tsp fig jam on top of the brie. Sprinkle 1 tsp Italian seasoning over each.

Step 6 – Fold in all four corners of the puff pastry over the brie and fig, pinching to seal, then flip each bite seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Leave 2 inches between bites.

Step 7 – Egg wash & seasoning. Brush each bite with the whisked egg. Sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning or ½ tsp salt.

Step 8 – Bake at 400°F for about 18 minutes, or as directed on your puff pastry box, until golden brown and puffed.

Step 9 – Remove from oven and drizzle 1 tbsp honey over the bites. Serve warm.
