I’ve been celebrating Thanksgiving all month long! First I started with learning how to sous vide turkey breast. And most recently I went on a foodie exploration in downtown Portland to check out the new Potbelly turducken sandwich and pumpkin pie shake.
The limited-time Potbelly turducken sandwich features the somewhat-wild combination of turkey, duck and chicken. The turducken isn’t a culinary challenge I’ve experienced before, because it’s not exactly easy to make at home. It’s great that Potbelly will do the work for all of us who are curious about this extraordinary combination of meats.
But that’s not all. This combo of three holiday meats is loaded with other Thanksgiving-inspired goodies: cornbread stuffing and cranberry-honey sauce. And it’s served toasted.
Like all Potbelly sandwiches, you can customize the turducken sandwich with the traditional fixings: mayo, lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomato and Italian seasonings.
Check out the Potbelly store locator to find a store near you.
The Potbelly turducken sandwich experience isn’t complete without the pumpkin pie shake. Potbelly has a ton of shakes and smoothies, and this Thanksgiving one completely hits the mark.
The Thanksgiving-inspired Potbelly pumpkin pie shake is both a drink and a dessert. In fact, there’s an entire slice of real pumpkin pie with hand-dipped vanilla ice cream in each shake. And how cute is that cookie on the straw?
If you’re enthused about Thanksgiving as I am, head to Potbelly to try these holiday specials for a limited time. And try one of my favorite Thanksgiving sous vide recipes: sous vide brussels sprouts.
