    INGREDIENTS

    • 8 Oreo cookies
    • 1 ¼ cup salted butter, softened (not room temperature)
    • 3 cups powdered sugar
    • 1 ½ tsp vanilla extract
    • 4 tbsp heavy whipping cream

    HOW TO MAKE OREO FROSTING

    Here’s the step-by-step recipe…

    Step 1 – Crush the Oreo cookies into very fine crumbs using a food processor or blender. Set aside.
    Step 2 – In a mixing bowl, beat the softened butter until smooth and creamy. Gradually add the powdered sugar, mixing well after each addition, until light and fluffy.
    Step 3 – Mix in the vanilla extract and heavy whipping cream until fully combined and smooth. Fold in the Oreo crumbs until evenly distributed and the frosting is speckled throughout.
    Step 4 – Let the frosting sit at room temperature for a few minutes before using so it becomes easier to spread or pipe (it will firm up slightly if chilled). Spread generously over cakes or pipe onto cupcakes for a cookies-and-cream finish.
