Craving the best wood-fired pizza and seafood dishes on St. Maarten’s French side? OASIS Restaurant & Pizzeria serves up fresh, flavorful menu items, is “nice” but family and kid-friendly, and is located close to hotels in Oyster Pond. Let’s take a look…

Special thanks to St Maarten Tourism and some local businesses featured in this post for supplying some activities and restaurants to review. All opinions are my own.

WHY YOU’LL LOVE OASIS RESTAURANT
This is hands-down one of my favorite restaurants on the French side of St. Martin.
It is everything I love about a great vacation meal—relaxed, flavorful, and full of local charm.
They had me at the interactive French onion soup, won over my kiddo with the pepperoni pizza, and fulfilled seafood cravings with the special menu of the day.

FRENCH DINING VIBES
Their menu leans French, as you’d expect, and as soon as I saw French onion soup listed, I knew exactly where I was starting.
Even in the middle of summer, it was 100% worth it…

I’ll get more into the menu highlights in a second, but for the atmosphere…
The patio is shaded and breezy, and although it’s a bit of a nicer spot, you don’t need to dress up. It’s family-friendly, relaxed, and welcoming to English speakers, too.

FRENCH + ENGLISH MENUS
We were greeted with a full menu board that the staff graciously walked us through—French and English versions available. That extra bit of hospitality made a great first impression.

MENU HIGHLIGHTS AT OASIS RESTAURANT
Here’s what we ordered at OASIS Restaurant…
French Onion Soup – Rich, deeply flavorful broth with plenty of melty cheese and toasted bread on top. Classic and comforting.
Caesar Salad – Fresh, crisp, and the perfect starter on a warm day.
Seafood Special – A beautifully plated dish of roasted codfish and shrimp with a creole sauce over mashed potatoes. My husband loved it…

Kids’ Pepperoni Pizza – My 6-year-old gave it two thumbs up—and honestly, it was one of the best pizzas we’ve had in St. Martin.

Beef Bourguignon – My personal favorite. Fall-apart beef in a rich red wine sauce, served with linguini. Reminds me of my beef stew recipe.

As mentioned, OASIS has a great outdoor patio with plenty of shade, and while it’s not formal, the atmosphere feels just upscale enough for a special night out.
Kids are welcome, and our little one even made a few furry friends—there are some neighborhood cats and dogs nearby that may wander over. (Use your own judgment on how friendly they are, but ours had a great time!)
Right next door, there’s a small convenience store where you can grab snacks, drinks, or even a few island essentials to-go before or after your meal.
Looking for a beach day on the Dutch side of the island? Check out the beach chair rental package at Holland House Hotel in Philipsburg. It’s right near a bunch of restaurants and bars on the promenade!
