Neapolitan Pizza Dough with 00 Flour

Ingredients
- ¾ cup warm water
- 1 tsp active dry yeast
- 2 cups 00 flour
- 1.5 tsp salt
- Extra virgin olive oil for greasing and brushing
Instructions
- Activate Yeast: In a bowl, mix warm water and yeast. Let it foam (about 5 minutes).
- Mix Dough: Add 00 flour and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir until a shaggy dough forms.
- Knead Dough: On a floured surface, knead for 3–5 minutes until smooth.
- First Rise: Lightly oil a large bowl with olive oil. Place dough in the bowl and turn to coat all sides. Cover and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour, until doubled in size.
- Preheat Oven: Preheat cast iron skillet or pizza stone in the oven at 500°F (260°C) and brush skillet with olive oil.
- Shape & Top: Shape dough into a 10–12 inch pizza. Add desired toppings.
- Bake: Bake for about 10 minutes, until crust is golden and crispy and cheese is melted.
- Serve: Slice and enjoy your thin, crispy Neapolitan-style pizza.
