    Detailed recipe steps

    1. Make fresh berry popsicles. Blend together all ingredients, pulsing a few times. I like to leave some fruit chunks in the popsicles.
    2. Freeze overnight or at least 2-3 hours until molded to the popsicle shape.
    3. Squeeze or run berry popsicles that are stuck to the popsicle mold under warm water to loosen them. Enjoy.

Why I wrote this popsicle recipe

My kiddo saw a Coco Melon show where the family makes popsicles, so I had his first real cooking related request: popsicles.

And you know what, they’re so relatively healthy compared to other things he could be eating that he had one for breakfast 😊

    FAQs

    How to store homemade popsicles

These healthy homemade popsicles can be stored in store bought plastic popsicle molds.

How to get homemade popsicles out of the mold

To get these ice pops out of the popsicle mold, you first need to hold it by the stick end. Use your thumb and index finger and gently push together to loosen the mold. Lift the mold to expose the popsicle.

How long does it take to freeze homemade popsicles?

You could freeze them about two to three hours before they’re hardened up and ready to eat.

What do you use to blend homemade popsicles?

I used a mixture of strawberries and raspberries that were blended up in a Nutribullet.

How do you blend the popsicle mixture to the right consistency?

Pulse or blend the fruit until it forms a thick consistency – the little chunks of fruit in these popsicles is part of the deliciousness.

What’s a good substitute if you do not have a popsicle mold?

If you do not have a mold handy, use an ice cube tray to hold the fruits juices and toothpicks as your popsicle sticks.

Be sure to cover the ice cube tray with plastic wrap so you can poke the toothpicks through as you are waiting for them to freeze.

How long do homemade popsicles last for?

Assuming you don’t eat these right away, they should last a few months in the freezer, so you can prepare them in advance of those hot days.

You’ll know that they aren’t good to eat when they have a ton of freezer burn on them. However, that can take months to form.

    Hey, I’m Jenna Passaro.

I develop easy recipes that can transform your kitchen into a restaurant – and you into a true home chef.

    Where to start?

Learn the secrets to smoking tasty Traeger recipes and making pizza at home. And cook amazing tri tip steak dinners.

Or, fall in love with something new to cook with your air fryer, pellet smoker, BBQ grill, sous vide cooker, and more…

You’ll notice, I kind of geek out over new cooking trends and tools!

    Instagram me @sipbitego & chef hubs @handmodelpatrick

My story. Growing up, I didn’t learn to cook.

(I was actually banned from cooking for years)

And then in my 20’s I didn’t have to cook because my job as an event planner involved a lot of travel and it was easier to eat out. At the time, I was 100% positive that restaurant food would always taste better than cooking at home, and there was nothing I could do about it.

Until I fell in love with a chef. He would come over and cook me delicious meals right in my own kitchen. My mind was blown.

Since then, I’ve been on a mission to figure out easy ways to make restaurant style food at home and share it here on Sip Bite Go.

Love to eat out and travel? I can totally relate. See my guide on where to eat in Portland, OR.

Never in a million years did I imagine I’d ditch the 9-5 lifestyle in my late 20’s, move across the country on a whim, start a new life, start a food blog, and write a book.

    But here I am!

See my book on Amazon: The Home Chef’s Sous Vide Cookbook.
