How to heat a ham nugget in the oven
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees F. Add ham nugget to a rimmed baking dish or roasting pan with water (this will help steam the ham and keep it juicy).
- Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and heat ham nugget for about 8 minutes per pound. Ham is reheated and ready for the next step when the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F as measured by an internal meat thermometer. You can make the ham nugget glaze while it bakes.
How to make honey glaze for ham nugget
- Add all ingredients (butter, brown sugar, maple syrup, cinnamon, salt, water) to a small saucepan on the stove.
- Turn the burner to medium and stir regularly until all ingredients mix together and begin to simmer, about 2-3 minutes. When the honey glaze starts to bubble, remove it from the heat so it stops cooking.
How to cook ham nugget with honey glaze
- Preheat oven broiler to high. Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper (if desired – just make sure to watch the ham once it’s broiling so the paper doesn’t get too smokey or catch fire – it’s never happened to me, just a warning!).
- Cut the baked ham in half (you can leave it whole, but there’s more surface area for the glaze to coat the ham if you cut it in half once it cools 5-15 minutes).
- Use a spoon and / or basting brush to brush the glaze on all sides of the ham. Broil ham nugget with glaze on top for 3-5 minutes in the oven, until it’s bubbly and a bit caramelized. Let cool and enjoy.

FAQs
The ham nugget from Wellshire Farms seen in this recipe demonstration is made of pork and flavored with sugar, sea salt, vinegar, honey, and maple sugar.
No, but you’ll want to add a sauce to amp up the flavor. I usually glaze ham because it makes a holiday meal more fancy and brings a lot of flavor. You can cook your ham without any glaze at all, but if you want that mouthwatering sweet and savory goodness you think of when you think of ham you will want to use a glaze. My honey glaze is easy to make, even for an inexperienced cook.
Serve your honey glazed ham nugget with fingerling potatoes, air fryer sweet potato tots, a fresh peach salad, family-style stuffed shells, or another pasta side.

8 minutes per pound? I think the cook time is a tad off!

I think the glaze is missing honey, but maybe the maple syrup is its sub?
