    WHY YOU’LL LOVE MY GRILLED WATERMELON

    It’s juicy, sweet, and just a little fancy. Takes 10 minutes, tops. And that honey-lime-cilantro glaze? Don’t skip it!

    I made this for a weekday pool hangout and now it’s a regular summer thing. It’s the kind of recipe that looks impressive but is secretly super low effort—perfect next to smoked queso or smoked corn on the cob from Sip Bite Go.

    INGREDIENTS TO MAKE GRILLED WATERMELON

    For the Watermelon

    • ¼ medium seedless watermelon, cut into 1-inch thick wedges

    For the Honey Lime Glaze

    • 2 tablespoons honey
    • 1 medium lime, zest and juice
    • 1 tablespoon cilantro, fresh, chopped

    Serving Ideas

    • 1 tablespoon cilantro, fresh, chopped
    • 2 tablespoon feta cheese, crumbles
    • 1 teaspoon Tajín
    • ½ teaspoon sea salt

    HOW TO GRILL WATERMELON

    The Gist: Slice up some watermelon, throw it on the grill, brush it with this honey-lime glaze, and boom—summer appetizer everyone loves in like 10 minutes.

    Step 1 – Prep the Watermelon. Cut the watermelon into 1-inch thick wedges. Set aside.

    Step 2 – Make the Glaze. In a small bowl, whisk together the honey, lime zest, lime juice, and chopped cilantro until well combined.

    Step 3 – Brush both sides of each watermelon wedge with the honey-lime glaze.
    Weber Gas Grill
    Step 4 – Preheat the gas grill or indoor grill pan to medium-high heat (about 450°F). If using a gas grill, grill over direct flame.

    Step 5 – Grill the Watermelon. Place the watermelon wedges on the hot grill. Grill for 1–2 minutes per side, flipping and rotating to get crisscross grill marks. Total time for indoor grilling may be a few minutes longer.

    Step 6 – Serve warm or slightly chilled. Sprinkle grilled watermelon with your favorite garnish.
