WHY YOU’LL LOVE MY HUMMUS FLOWER PLATTER

This easy, vibrant hummus platter is perfect for any gathering! It’s quick to make, looks stunning, and pairs well with charcuterie boards, veggies or pita chips.

Inspired by fresh, colorful platters, this is a fun make-ahead appetizer for spring entertaining like Easter and Mother’s Day Brunch.

    INGREDIENTS

    • Hummus: Go with roasted red pepper for color and a sweet, smoky flavor, or use your favorite variety.
    • Crumbled feta cheese: Adds a salty, creamy contrast and makes the “flower center” pop.
    • Cherry tomatoes or olives: Use whichever you love—both add color and a savory bite.
    • Fresh parsley: Just a sprinkle gives a fresh, vibrant finish.
    • Extra virgin olive oil: Adds a glossy, rich touch that makes the hummus even more irresistible.
    • Fresh basil leaves: For a garnish that looks pretty and brings a hint of freshness.
    • Pita chips or fresh veggies: Great for dipping—cucumbers, carrots, and bell peppers all work well!

    POPULAR SUBSTITUTIONS & ADDITIONS

    • Different hummus flavors: Try garlic, lemon, or beet hummus for a fun twist in flavor and color.
    • Goat cheese instead of feta: Adds a creamier, tangier flavor if you’re not into feta.
    • Sliced radishes or cucumbers: Add extra crunch and color around the platter.
    • Kalamata or green olives: Switch up the type of olive based on your flavor preference.
    • Fresh dill or mint: Great alternatives to parsley for a different herb vibe.
    • Toasted pine nuts or sunflower seeds: Add crunch and a little nuttiness on top.

HOW TO MAKE A HUMMUS FLOWER PLATTER

The Gist: This pretty platter comes together in minutes with just a few fresh ingredients. You’ll shape the hummus into petals, add toppings, and garnish to create a flower that’s almost too cute to eat!

Adding hummus to center of a plate
Step 1A: Spread hummus in the center of a large plate, shaping it into flower-like petals with the back of a spoon.
Spreading hummus into petal shapes on a plate using the back of a spoon
Step 1B: Spread hummus in the center of a large plate, shaping it into flower-like petals with the back of a spoon.
Topping hummus with feta crumbles and cherry tomatoes in the center and fresh parsley
Step 2: Add crumbled feta and place tomatoes or olives in the center to look like flower pollen. Sprinkle with parsley.

Step 3: Drizzle olive oil over the petals and tuck a few fresh basil leaves around the outer edges of the plate for a fresh, springy touch.

    De-licious!

TIPS FOR MAKING THE BEST HUMMUS FLOWER PLATTER

    • Make sure to indent the petals. The spoon swirl makes the “petal” effect—simple but it holds the olive oil in the final step.
    • Use a big enough plate. A dinner plate gives you room to spread and shape the petals.
    • Don’t forget the garnish. Fresh herbs and a drizzle of olive oil take the look (and taste!) up a notch.

    • Air fryer pita chips
    • Rainbow veggie tray (try this Bunny Veggie Platter)
    • Sparkling lemonade spritzers

Can’t wait to hear what you think!

    Ingredients

    • 16 oz roasted red pepper hummus or your favorite flavor
    • 2 tbsp crumbled feta cheese divided
    • 4 cherry tomatoes or olives
    • ½ tsp parsley chopped fresh
    • 1 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
    • 3 basil leaves fresh, for garnish
    • 3 cups Pita chips or fresh veggies for serving

    Instructions

    • Scoop the hummus into the center of a large dinner-size plate. Using the back of a spoon, gently smush and spread the hummus outward in curved strokes to resemble flower petals.
    • Sprinkle 1 tablespoon of crumbled feta into the center of the “flower” to mimic the pollen. Place 3 cherry tomatoes or olives in the center. Add the remaining 1 tablespoon of feta crumbles over the top. Lightly sprinkle with ½ teaspoon of chopped parsley for a pop of color.
    • Drizzle 1 tablespoon of olive oil over the petals and tuck a few fresh basil leaves around the outer edges of the plate for a fresh, springy touch.

    Notes

To Serve: Surround your hummus flower with pita chips, sliced cucumbers, carrots, or bell pepper strips. Dig in and enjoy the prettiest bite of spring!
