Why I Bought It
I was on the hunt for a versatile pizza stone that could give me a perfectly crispy crust whether I’m using my oven, grill, or smoker.
Pic of delicious Traeger smoked tri tip pizza.
After reading numerous reviews and doing my research, I chose the Emile Henry Pizza Stone because it’s made in France with durable, scratch-resistant glaze and is designed to handle temperatures up to 900°F.
After that I was actually gifted one, which I passed on since mine has been holding up so well.

How I Use It
- First, it’s important to preheat the pizza stone. When I turn on the oven / grill / smoker, I add in the pizza stone.
- Once it reaches about 500 degrees F, my secret is to par-bake pizza dough on the stone a few minutes, before adding toppings.
- Then I bake the pizza until the top cheese is bubbling and crust is golden brown.

Features I Love
What really sets this pizza stone apart is its durability. The glazed surface not only resists scratches but also makes it easy to clean.
The stone’s micro-crazed glaze ensures that the bottom of the pizza bakes to perfection without burning.
I also appreciate that it’s built with handles, so I can easily transfer it from the oven to the grill and back.
Final Thoughts
The Emile Henry 14” Large Pizza Stone has quickly become an essential tool in my kitchen.
