Try this easy Italian marinade…
1. Preheat the Air Fryer
- For timing purposes, prepare the chicken first.
- Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
2. Season the Chicken
- Pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels.
- Rub each chicken breast with olive oil.
- In a small bowl, mix together the salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning blend.
- Sprinkle the seasoning mix evenly over both chicken breasts, making sure to coat both sides thoroughly.
3. Air Fry the Chicken
- Place the chicken breasts in the air fryer basket, skin-side up. Ensure they are not touching to allow for even cooking.
- Air fry at 400°F for about 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F and the skin is crispy and golden brown.
- (This is a good time to start cooking the pasta.)
4. Rest and Serve
Remove the chicken breasts from the air fryer when done, and let them rest for 5 minutes before slicing.
5. Try this Pasta Sauce with this Hack
Before simmering the pasta sauce, you can enhance the flavor by cooking these in a large pot on the stove on medium heat (don’t add the sauce yet):
- Add ½ tablespoon olive oil.
- Add ½ chopped onion and stir for 5 minutes until translucent.
- Add 2 cloves minced garlic and stir for 1 more minute.
6. Add the Sauce
Pour in a jar of your favorite pasta sauce and stir to combine. Let the sauce simmer for 10-15 minutes to meld the flavors together.
7. Prepare the Pasta
While the sauce is simmering, boil your favorite bronze-cut Italian pasta to al dente (so it sticks a bit when you bite). Drain the pasta.
8. Finish the Sauce
Set the pasta sauce aside, off the heat. Stir in 1 tablespoon fresh chopped basil and ¼ cup cream.
9. Serve
Serve pasta family style with sliced chicken on top. Sprinkle with parmesan and fresh basil leaves and enjoy!
