Ingredients
- 1 cup whole milk, very cold
- ¾ cup sugar, granulated
- 1 cup heavy cream, cold
- 1 cup half and half, cold
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 12 Oreos, smashed, plus a couple more to top

1. Prep ice cream batter
Whisk together cold milk and sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Remove KitchenAid Ice Cream Maker from the freezer and set up the attachment on your stand mixer. To the frozen ice cream bowl, stir in the milk and sugar mixture, heavy cream, half and half, and vanilla extract.
2. Churn ice cream base
Churn ice cream for about 20 minutes.
3. Add Oreos
Once 20 minutes have passed, add in crushed Oreos and churn for another 5-10 minutes, or until the mixture is well combined. If your machine’s instructions for add-ins vary, follow those instead. At this point, my ice cream is usually cold enough to enjoy right away, but is more soft-serve style.
4. Freeze
Transfer Oreo ice cream to an airtight, freezable container to harden for a couple of hours. Top with extra crushed Oreos for aesthetic appeal.
