Let’s check out one of the best breakfasts in Orient Beach. Today, I’m sharing a foodie spot I can’t keep to myself… You’ll see exactly what we ordered from the menu at Good Morning Café, a dreamy little spot on the French side of St Maarten that totally nails the French cafe vibes.
Whether you’re staying nearby or just passing through for the day, this cozy café is a must-visit when you’re in the area!

Okay you have to see the video of this breakfast spot we found on Orient Beach—flaky croissants, iced coffee, and literally a gourmet cheese truck showed up while our food was being made in the kitchen…

WHY YOU’LL LOVE IT

- Buttery croissants that taste like Paris.

- A to-go lunch menu so you can grab $6 baguettes for a day at Orient Beach.
- Insanely reasonable prices which makes it easy to get carried away trying everything (you’ll see what I mean below)
- Steps from one of the most stunning beaches on the island
If you tell me there are flaky croissants, strong iced coffee, and ocean views waiting for me just steps from the sand—I will wake up early every single time.
MENU RECOMMENDATIONS
Okay, we may have gotten a little carried away—but that’s the rule on vacation, right?
- Croque Madame – Soft bread, ham, cheddar cheese, Emmental, béchamel, and a fried egg on top. French comfort food perfection.
- Ham & Cheese Quiche – Light, fluffy, golden, and flavorful.
- Breakfast Sandwich with Avocado & Bacon – Filling, fresh, and easy to love.
- Regular & Chocolate Croissants – You can’t not try both. They’re buttery, flaky, and everything you want in a vacation pastry.
- Iced Coffee + Fresh Mango Juice – The caffeine kick I needed before a lazy day on the beach, with juice for my kiddo. (And PS. I’d say this place is pretty kid friendly with the outdoor seating!)

TO-GO MENU
And for anyone grabbing something to-go… don’t miss the $6 baguette sandwiches.
We always bring a cooler on vacation for moments like this… when we find something we want to enjoy later… Did you see my YouTube short on this exact situation? lol…
These were all great:
- Sandwich Italien: Prosciutto, parmesan, lettuce, tomato, pesto
- Sandwich Chicken: Grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, mayo
- Sandwich French Salami: French salami, butter, pickles (so simple, so good)
DINING TIPS
This is a casual spot, no reservations required. People come and go regularly, or just take food to go.
As far as what to wear here, there is nothing fancy about it. The setup is outdoor dining under umbrellas.
Good Morning Cafe is the kind of spot where you can throw on a linen set or just roll out of bed in your swimsuit cover-up before the beach.
And for time of day, they are open mornings to early afternoons. So plan to visit on your way to the beach.

Good Morning Café is located at 13 Orient Bay Plaza, Orient Bay 97150, St. Maarten.
Street parking is free and available across the street.
Walking to the restaurant from Orient Beach is easy as well. It is close to La Playa Orient Beach Hotel and Yellow Sub Restaurant.
